WEll, finally, after weeks of waiting on the mower to be fixed and a week of rain - I got the yard mowed yesterday. There was a very short window of opportunity - had to wait on the grass to dry a little and then run out to mow before the next rain hit! I did not get the back yard mowed but at least with the front mowed, it looks as if someone lives here now! I would just love to share how many of my little "friends" I observed while mowing - but if I did that- those of you that visit here regularly would probably never set foot on my property again! So that information shall remain forever a secret! Hopefully the rain will clear out later today and maybe, just maybe start to dry a little.
As I sit here at the window typing, I see a robin coming and going in my new fern. Wonderful - that means it will be a major event to water the fern now - I will have to figure out which area does not disturb her and hope that she does not completely tear up my fern. I do believe that some of this wild life is trying to take over my home. That is two nests, possibly a third that are moving right in on us! Enough of that. The card.
Oh my - this was a wedding card for a very very sweet lady. She got married a few weeks ago and I should have been at the wedding, I just didn't get there. Other obligations crowded in. I will look forward to seeing her pictures though. I saw a card made like this on someone else's blog - so then decided to go with my own - mine open's on the side, like a normal card - I tried the textured background on the first card I made - but it just didn't look good - so I left it plain - then added our classy dsp for the layers and some of the flowers from the Pretties kit, which I sponged classic ink on and then added the pearls for the inside flowers. I also punched out a couple of the Little Leaves, using Walk in the Park dsp. Simple, but nice. Then I completely forgot to crop the picture - so you get all the extra distractions around the card! I should do that the minute I load the pictures - otherwise I forget. Well, you get the general idea anyway! Off to get some work done - its so nice to know I'm going to be home allllllll week-end! Yeah - no trip anywhere! Just maybe I can begin getting caught up around here.
