Another White Day

Another day with snow - I'll bet it is slick this morning also because it rained first so that is probably nice and icy underneath - however, I won't be finding out as I am staying in today.  No one would want to talk to me at church, much less, shake my hand, because I sound like some overgrown bull frog - don't feel too bad just sound nasty!!  Since I have a little time - waiting on STeve to finish up working a job to fix a transformer - decided that I would send the final picture from the Big Shot class since Terri took pictures of all three of the cards and it was so easy to just use the pictures she loaded for me. Thanks again!  This card was made using the top note die cut with the Big Shot - as you can tell by this picture, it is actually punched out so that it folds on one side - makes a different look for your cards.  The front view shows the stamped image, which is from Thoughts and prayers.  Just love this stamp set.  These colors are also great - Spring colors!!!  The celery ribbon is part of the ribbon bundle you can get free with a $50 purchase during sale a bration.  Enjoy the taste of Spring - just don't look out your window! Slow Day

Well, if you are wondering why I typed slow day - not because my plan for the day is slow - that does not seem to ever happen here - just brain slow today - I've been sitting here for a couple of minutes just staring at the Title line! Duh.  We finally got our 8 hours of sleep last night - first time in a week.  I just finished watching the weather forecast - and quite frankly, I'm going to forget I even saw it - since they are calling for thunderstorms and wind and then snow.  Wow - sounds like a repeat of last week - just not as severe! 

Just great - first time I tried to load this picture it would not load - so had to try again - and when I tried again - I forgot to reduce the size.  I think I need a "check list" everytime I come on here to post.  Whew - too big of an image at this hour of the day.  This card I made for one of my fellow teammates of the larger team I'm a part of.  She lost her husband on Valentine's Day to cancer.  He's been fighting a long battle. 

This card uses the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set - which is on back order right now but I just love this set.  I then pulled out some of the Sale a bration free designer paper to use.  To make the corner accents I simply used my scallop edge punch - I saw this slick trick demoed by Patty Bennett.  Once again - nice, clean card. 

Today is my Big Shot day where the girls that are purchasing Big Shots come play and make three cards today - they have one more class, when they will all receive their Big Shots and that day everything they make will be 3D items.  I wanted to make sure they had a good variety of ways to use their Big Shot so they would feel they could put it to good use.  My poor Big Shot has been worked and worked to death.  I'm planning a Big Shot Day in April - where gals can come and try out the Big Shot and several of the die cuts - this will be for ladies that have a Big Shot or for ladies that do not have a Big Shot - more or less a play Day!!  Alright - enough blabber - I must go get to work - no exciting things happening here today - thankfully.
