Cool Start Again

    Another cool morning here - forecasters called for freeze warnings last night - so covered up the plants.  It doesn't look like it got that bad but better safe than lose the flowers.  Nothing in the garden yet - can't get the thing plowed because of the rain.  Maybe Hubby can get that done this week if the weather cooperates. 

    Busy day today - a 1,2,3 class in town this morning with 11 people signed up for that.  We will make 2 cards in one hour - charge $3 - hence the name  1,2,3.  Can be a little tricky to do cards that people can get done in one hour so they get back to work on time.  I wish I had had a nice diversion like this when I worked at the law offices down town.  It would have been a nice change from the routine.  Then this evening will be my scrapbooking group.  So I will definitely need to get the house straightened up a little - more specifically the stamp room!!

    The post for today is the scrapbook page I gave to the hostess on Saturday - she had wanted some ideas using Just Beachy, from the Occasions Mini, so I put together the pages for her as her hostess gift.  These pages are getting to be more fun - still can't say I enjoy them as much as I do cards but they are a little less stressful than they were a year ago! 

On the sides I used the Baby Wipe Technique, using baby wipes and re-inkers for a little interest and the "waves" were made using a one inch punch.  I struggle with pages so I simply start with a 6x6 page, in this case, I had it share the two pages, and then build my pages around that.  Much easier than starting with the whole 12 x 12 and wondering what to do with it!!!  Well, that's it for today - must get moving.  Have a great day. 

Change is in the wind

     Good Morning, afternoon or evening, as you read this.  Yesterday I spent a couple of hours with My Webmaster - hmmm, that sounds really sophisticated and important ;)  and I'm going to be making, hopefully some changes on my blog - these will not be large changes, just little ones.  You will notice some of these and some you will not.  I'm not going to be putting a lot of links for Stampin Up! catalogs and such - because I see some blogs that just have way too much up and down the side margins - I'd like to keep mine mostly for the blog itself. 

      You can email me - there is a spot to click for that and there is now a link that takes you directly to the Stampin Up Website.  I will also be putting my fellow team members blogs, at least my directs in the side margin - my Webmaster, Joe added one yesterday for me and I will ask first and then add one of my others hopefully by the first of next week.  It is truly amazing, I must say to watch someone in action on a computer who actually KNOWS what they are doing.  All I could think was WOW!!  He was sharing how he didn't get the offer of computer classes when he was in college with his degree because they did not believe he would ever need that - I, on the other hand, had to take programming for computers and I don't remember a thing from that class, hated every minute of it and if it had not been for the fact the guy I was dating in college was a computer whiz - I would have flunked the class for sure.  Now, I wish I had learned more from it!!!  So bear with me for a while as I try to use some of the things Joe showed me yesterday. 

    

 

Well, right off the bat I've goofed - but I'm at least trying.  This will give Jo a good chuckle at least!  As he will know what my mistakes are - you will not!  :)  he above page is one of the pages I will be offering for a class on Saturday June 6, here at my house.  Here is the second one., that will go along with it.  I will be doing 4 pages in all - so it will be 2 two page spreads - amazing for me to even attempt!!  If you are on my mailing list, you will get more information on this later.      Well, must tell you that things are not going as easily as they did while I watched Joe do this.  Ackkkk.                                                            

 

This would be pretty funny if it was not so tricky - So now the pressure is on - I'll have Joe watching for changes and all of you and I found out last night that my BIL and SIL come here every day, along with two of my nieces!  So no more razzing on my poor hubby.  My BIL asked if he (DH) ever worked?!!! I could detail you his day, but it is pretty boring!  Unless you count those days we do maple syrup and gather bees - which ofcourse gets him featured center stage on my blog!! I told him he should consider setting up a bee blog - but he would have me type on it - so forget that - I have enough trouble typing on my own!!! Well, it seems I've done enough damage today - sorry for the blurred 2nd picture - tried to adjust it - but it just got out of wack - so figured I'd better stop before I made it worse!  Remember that patience is a virtue - you are going to need it over the next couple of weeks!  Thanks for coming by -

Big Day today

Today is big because my friend, Bev is having a Huge party today - she is trying for a $1,000 party today to win a day here stamping at my house with 10 of her friends.  She has l8 ladies coming to her party and all of them are scrappers - so my post today is a 6 x 6 scrapbook page that we will be doing.  While this is the master that they will all work from, it is highly unlikely that any of them will actually have the same page because I'm taking the stamp set that this Lucky Duck is from and they can change their images - plus every page is a different color - and different flowers so everyone can have their own individual page to use.  This was one of our Scrappin Kits and it was super easy to put this together for a large group - I would love to put up the hostess gift I'm doing for her - but there is always the chance that she is checking out this blog this morning and I want that to be a complete surprise.  She will be very happy with what it is.  Can't wait!  This should prove to be a while time with that many ladies in one spot!!!  I've already had one gal win the day of stamping here so hope Bev wins it also - fun fun!!!
