Middle of the Week?

Already Wednesday and where has the rest of the week gone?  I'm running out of week before I run out of things to get done!!!  I do believe that from now on until we take off I will be clocking in 12 hour days in order to get everything done! 

No chicks - did not arrive yesterday - so maybe today.  We have the box ready for the new little gals but nobody in there yet!!!  So no baby pictures today!!!  What I do have is 2 - yes 2 cards.  These were both embarrassingly easy - but then, that's what the blog is for, I keep telling myself!  First card. This one uses one of the stamp sets from Sale a bration - when you purchase $50 worth of Stampin Up! merchandise you can get this or a choice of others, or designer paper, OR ribbon - free!!!  I've used the designer paper also on this pocket card - needed a quick thank you so this one filled the bill in definitely unusual colors!  Then the second card is designed for a group that I go to tomorrow - these are all older ladies and the woman that invited me told me to keep it simple and use flowers!  So I pulled out the stamp set Upsy Daisy - it is definitely easy and this card should fill the bill for those ladies.   

I shadow stamped this stamp set by stamping in the dark color first, which was perfect plum and then stamping again in the pale plum to make it looked shadowed.  Hoping that for first time stampers they will be thrilled.  Off to get moving into the day - thanks for stopping by.  Well, I just did a preview for this page and the Thinking of You card is showing up exactly as I want it - until I go to send it - then it enlarges by 2 - I don't have time to try to figure out what is wrong - so simply scoot back your chairs and look at the second card from across the room!!!!  I just love my computer!

Happy President's Day

A day off for some - enjoy it - my husband got to sleep in this morning 6:30 today - then I fixed him a big breakfast  of whole grain belgian waffles and fruit with his homemade syrup!  Cut his hair - and then he was called out to work - so we got a brief break today at least!!  So I am a little late in getting my card posted.  I've been working on things for my big shot class this Wednesday getting them all prepared and pre-cut for the items that need extra pieces.  I can't show those items until much later because that class will be strung out clear to the end of the month.   

So . . . this card uses the Sale a bration set called Polka Dot Punches - it is really easy to work with - I used my heart punch to punch out the images because this stamp set is designed to work with our 5 petal flower punch, scallop circle punch and large heart punch.  I also used the eyelet trim edge punch also - love that thing.  The designer paper is also the free paper you can earn during Sale a bration - what a deal!  Ofcourse you have to spend $50 before you can earn any of that! 

Well, off to exercise off the waffles and then get the stamp room cleaned up for the scrapbooking group that comes tomorrow night - there are a couple of new girls in this group and if they saw my stamp room the way it looks right now - they would probably turn around and head back home!!  Enjoy the day!  Still waiting to cook down the remainder of the syrup - was hoping Steve would be around long enough today to do that - maybe later today!!!  Just know that I have not forgotten and the prize still goes to the closest "guesser"
