Founders Circle #2

Yesterday I left off with a picture of my partner Tammy and I getting ready to head off to the golf course - for we didn't know what!  Here's a picture of the first stop - can you guess what we are doing?

 
Those are MARSHMALLOWS on the ground and that huge Driver was what we were using to hit them way out there - we actually did pretty good at this - not so much good at the other activities but we did score some decent points here!!

One of the next stops was to eat a huge marshmallow and drink a cup of water as fast as you can - trying to beat all the other teams (17) of them.  Here is Deb chowing down on the marshmallow - while you can't appreciate it - it was pretty funny.  Took her about 30 seconds.

 
On the course there were lots of jack rabbits and cottontails - I'd never actually seen a jack rabbit before but I saw enough of them in that 2 hour time span to last a lifetime - many of them darting in front of our golf carts.  We also saw quail and road runners on this course. We finished up with a fantastic dinner where they had little trophies made up for each of us with our names on it at our place settings - Shelli was at our table and we got a picture of our team with her

 
This was a great evening of laughter and entertainment - Shelli said she could hear all of us laughing and giggling as we came down the hill toward her stop and we did do a lot of laughing that night - some great ideas that our activities people put together.  All in all it was a great time and lots of laughter and fun - not much sleep - but I can always sleep at home - can't spend time with friends from all over the country all that often.  Many kudos to Stampin Up! for such an awesome event and alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll our free goodies that we got - mine completely covered our spare bed - unbelievable!  That's it for today! 

Founders Circle

Well, I must share at least a little bit of Founders Circle - the 4 days spent in southern Utah were just fabulous - fun filled days - forget rest and relaxation - it just didn't happen!  We were going from sun up till way past sun down.  Stampin Up!  pretty much books the entire Marriott in St. George, Utah - we each have our own room.  A breakfast buffet was served every morning and then evening meals were pretty much provided by Stampin Up with the exception of one night and we were on our own. There were plenty of places nearby to choose from. On Thursday I headed out with about 11 other demonstrators for a hike up the Narrows in Zion National Park - I have some pictures but don't have them ready to share yet - my crazy friend, Jill, sloshed in the river water up to her neck - I might add the muddy river water - I chose to stop when it got up to my thighs - I'm not so adventurous when it involves water.  There were lots of other places that we visited in Zion and they were just breathtakingly beautiful - no exaggeration.

On Thursday we traveled by bus to Kanab to view our facility there where die cutting of ruber sheets is done and we actually got to do some of the cutting of the rubber sheets, and packing orders - it was just amazing - when we pulled in - all the employees were lining the sidewalks to welcome us and cheer - some had even walked down to the main road with a big sign that said Welcome Founders Circle Demonstrators!  It was like arriving as some rock star - pretty heady stuff! Toured the facility, as well as Shelli's apartment that she uses while visiting there in Kanab.  Then off to the park that STampin Up built

 
Here are Beth (my downline) and I at the park - take note of the surface of the playground - it is all rubber stamp pieces - this stuff is super springy - there were kids there playing and no one was crying when they fell down!  I'd sure like to have all this around when my grandsons come to visit. 

Then Stampin Up sent us to see the outdoor play at Tuacahn and the production for the night was Little Mermaid - for the 46th consecutive night, the place was sold out - we found out why - the play was amazing - all the special effects - it was hard to believe sometimes that we were not seeing real underwater pictures.  Our only complaint that night was that we were all so tired - we were fidgety and struggling to stay awake - so we were missing a few of the quick things - but we loved the play. 

On Saturday evening we had a fun activity - we are not told what we will be doing - we never know until we arrive at the location - my heart nearly dropped when we pulled into a fancy golf course - I'm no golfer - don't even enjoy putt putt golfing, however, when we found out what they had planned - we had a blast!  We were split up into teams and ours was only 5 members as we were missing a couple - none of us had even driving golf carts, which was the first funny thing but we made it - here we are ready to take off
