Well, I did say yesterday that I would put up pictures of the treats for the grandsons and the rest of the Valentine cards - but it is my blog and things do change from day to day here! While chatting with my friend, Terri last night, we were talking about hurring to get Valentines in the mail in order to get them across the country and how time is definitely running out for us. She wanted to use our mazes and send some cards to California and I wanted to make one for the eldest grandson - so I stopped what I was doing and fiddled till I got that card done.
My hope is that Gideon will actually be able to use this maze card but I do have my doubts. I must tell you that I did learn something very very important when you do these cards. These are the things that clerks at A.C. Moore or Michael's don't tell you - they let you find out on your own. Here's my tip, when you get the maze, you actually remove that back piece and either stamp on it or replace it (our 2 1/2" circle punch fits well) with designer paper covered cardstock. Anyway, the important tip and it is VERY important is to work over a paper tray or at least some container that is a wide work area and will "catch" the little balls should they happen to pop out. Like I said - this is very important - how do I know this? Because I spent 30 minutes down on my hands and knees with a flashlight looking for the two little balls. They popped out at the very last second. I had stamped the image, and had the backing piece clear in, but one side popped back out and doggone it - it was enough for those little buggers to pop right out. So that's one wasted - learn from my mistakes. Look how teeny tiny they are in this picture.
These are cute and easier than I thought they would be to work with - as long as you are over a catch surface. I personally like the idea of the mouse and cheese so will have to make a card with that picture inside. The stamped image here is one from the sale a bration sets Sprinkled Occasions.
The designer paper is retired but I doubt that Gideon will care one way or the other about that!
Here's one more thing - one of the treats from Saturday's class
This was one of our scalloped envelope dies and those cute little hearts are our new embossed hearts - love these little guys. The stamps used are from PS I love you, and ofcourse, as always - cherry cobbler and twittlepated designer paper. Do I really need to mention how much I love that paper again?! I must get working on SAturday's post as it seems that it will take me awhile to get it organized so I'm crossing my fingers for that.Plus I hope to share the onion soup recipe then too. Have a great day - snow is in the forecast. That stupid ground hog.

Cute card, I love the idea using the scallop enevelope as a treat package:) Hope you don't get too much snow.
